Question by geri: UK: If it's illegal to have sex under the age of 16, why hasn't the 12 year old dad been arrested yet?

Whats the point of having a law that has absolutely no meaning to anyone... Under 16's dont listen to it and the government don't do anything about it. Another 15 year old is pregnant and having triplets and they keep writing negative articles about it but what why don't the government who implimented this law actually do something about it =\\?
If something is illegal, why do they still get the privilege to live in council houses and live off tax payers money?
No, the law was supposed to protect ALL underage children, not just girls, or that would be sexism.

I have no idea, but I would imagine it would be difficult to try a child for having a child...the public sympathy for him would be too great.

And the kid was 13 years old, lol, not that it makes it any better.
